I was thinking of changing my URL so I started searching to see what was taken or not. I knew ‘Pia’ would be so I started searching it with one or two extra As and I’m on 12 now and blogs are still coming up and I can’t stop laughing.

On the way home from work I walked by a group of teenage boys. One of whom took it upon himself to say “suck me off” as I walked by and when I confronted him with, “what the fuck did you just say to me?”, spat on the ground about an inch from my shoe. I’m home now, livid, and thoroughly regretting not breaking the little bastard’s balls.
Quick personal update for those interested…
•Exams start in the morning! I have to sit an exam in Anatomy & Physiology, English Literature, Psychology, Sociology and History. I’m a little worried about them but I think I’ll do well. For those of you who don’t know my college course is a level 5 access to university programme so I basically need 5 distinctions out of my 10 modules in order to get into NUI Galway, which I’m pretty sure I can achieve if not exceed. The only problem is a lot of my lectures are, frankly, under qualified and don’t have a clue what they’re doing. For example, my psychology lecturer likes to throw around phrases such as “C’mon, guys, I’m learning this for the first time too!” which as you can imagine is infuriating. That being said, I have some fabulous lecturers, notably my Sociology, English Lit and History, that’ll definitely be reflected in my results and I plan on keeping these subjects on in university.
•I have an amazing summer to look forward to! I’m going to Amsterdam for 4 days with a couple of friends so that’ll be unreal. I’m also stalling it to Amanda Palmer, Die Antwoord and EP - more if I can get the cash. I’ll hopefully be visiting family in Italy if I can get the time off work too.
•My dad’s moving to a house that has a graveyard for a back garden (thought I’d squeeze that in there.)
•Spending loads of time with Aidan lately since I’ll be without him for 3 months while he’s on his J1 in Boston. Weh ;(
That’s all really for the moment! I don’t really update this that much anymore… Hopefully I’ll have more time after next week :3
Cardinal Sean Brady has urged 5,500 people at an anti-abortion prayer vigil in the Irish Republic to lobby their politicians over a draft abortion bill
“At present, medical staff in the Republic cannot terminate a pregnancy unless there is a threat to the life - as opposed to the health - of a pregnant woman.”
“Irish Taoiseach Enda Kenny said the draft bill would bring certainty to pregnant women and legal clarity to doctors.
However, on Friday the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference said the proposed bill was a “dramatic and morally unacceptable change to Irish law”“
The following is part of Brady’s homily on Saturday:
“We pray for courage – the kind of courage that is needed to look the truth in the eye and to call it as it is, without yielding to self-deception or bowing to convenient compromise, scrupulously avoiding ambiguous language, which cloaks the true horror of the situation and reduces its seriousness.”
Am I missing something? This is the man that was charged with the cover-up of countless cases of sexual abuse against children, right? The man who interviewed two young sex abuse victims and swore them to secrecy in order to save the skin of Fr. Brendan Smith and therefore facilitated more clerical abuse?
The following is a snippet from the article Abortion and Excommunication:
“a constitutional amendment which bans abortion with exceptions for various cases, such as rape, incest, or a risk to the mother’s life, would be worse than having no such amendment at all.
Any woman who is willing to commit the sin of abortion, would also be willing to lie. If a constitutional amendment permitted abortion in cases of rape, then any woman willing to lie and to falsely claim that she was raped, would be able to also claim that she had a constitutional right to an abortion. The result would be that a constitutional amendment, which seems to ban abortion with some exceptions, would end up giving every woman who is willing to tell a lie, a purported constitutional right to abortion. This situation would be worse than having no such constitutional amendment at all.
Therefore, the only acceptable pro-life constitutional amendment would be one that, in accordance with Catholic teaching, bans all procured abortions without exception”
In case you guys missed that, life-saving legislation shouldn’t be implemented in Ireland because women lie.
I get so many messages on here asking about Ireland and telling me how lucky I am to live in here and tbh, with this lingering at the back of my mind I’d have to disagree. I don’t even want to live here anymore. THOUSANDS of people turned up, not only to campaign against a basic human right, but to rally with a man who shielded pedophiles from justice and facilitated years of traumatic abuse against children. There is something very sickening about that.
I’m in my mam’s and earlier today my brother asked if he could have the keys to my flat in Dublin so he could use my shower after the gym and later I remembered that Aidan threw my vibrator at me as a joke on Saturday and I never put it away and I don’t think the relationship between me and my brother will ever be the same again now.

Pretty sure I’m going to die of exhaustion. Just one more day, just one more late night doing college work then I’m FREEE. The thought of seeing Enter Shikari tomorrow is the only thing keeping me going tbh. Wish me luck!

btw, when I say ‘small’ I mean less than an assignment but still…ouch.
Then after Friday comes pre-exam cramming. Roll on 14 May.
